Brief introduction of jersey fabric:

Jersey is a kind of thin fabric in knitted fabrics,it is made by the simplest flat knitting method. The fabric has certain elasticity in warp and weft directions. jersey fabric has good moisture absorption and breathability effects,it is often used for making close-fitting clothing. It is a relatively common knitted fabric.

The jersey fabric is generally made of fine or medium-sized pure cotton or blended yarns, which are knitted into single-sided or double-sided fabrics on a warp-knitting or weft-knitting machine with flat stitches, tucks, ribs, jacquards, etc., and then bleached and dyed,printed, finished, and tailored into a variety of sweatshirts or tank tops.

Features of jersey fabric:

The advantages of jersey fabric is smooth on the surface, the lines are clear, the texture is fine, and feels good. It has good hygroscopicity and air permeability, but it has detachment and curling properties, and sometimes the coil will be skewed.The gram weight of jersey fabric is generally 80gsm-120gsm.

Classification of jersey fabric:

1. The common types of jersey fabric are bleached jersey fabric, extra white jersey fabric, fine bleached jersey fabric, singeing and mercerized jersey fabric.

2. According to different post-dyeing and finishing processes, jersey fabric can be divided into plain jersey fabric, printed jersey fabric, and navy striped jersey fabric.

3. According to the different raw materials used, jersey fabric can be divided into blended jersey fabric, silk jersey fabric, acrylic jersey fabric, polyester jersey fabric, ramie jersey fabric, etc.

The use of jersey fabric:

The jersey fabric has good skin-friendliness and soft touch, it is suitable for making all kinds of clothing, such as undershirts, vests and T-shirts,etc. At the same time, the fabric is also suitable for making underwear and panties ,etc.
