What is the difference between combed and carded cotton jersey?

Combed and carded refer to the raw materials of cotton jersey: combed yarn and carded yarn. What is the difference between combed and carded cotton jersey?
1.The evenness of pure cotton combed yarn is better, and the yarn contains less impurities.
2.Semi-combed yarn means that half of the sliver has been combed and the other half of the sliver has not been combed. Because the cotton grade of uncombed sliver is lower, the yarn quality of semi-combed yarn is worse than that of combed yarn.
3.The cotton grade of carded yarn is even lower, because it has not been combed, its quality is relatively poor. It is generally used for terry cloth, terry yarn on the bottom of sweater cloth, etc. The price of carded yarn is relatively cheap, so it is also suitable for some orders with low quality requirements.
Generally, high quality fabrics usually use combed yarns, because the fabrics woven from combed yarns have less hairiness on the surface, clear texture, and a relatively high quality feeling. Common pure cotton combed yarns include 16s, 20s, 21s, 32s and 40s, etc. For finer combed yarns, long-staple cotton raw materials must be added. Coarse yarns below 32s are commonly used semi-combed yarns and carded yarns, such as 12s, 10s, 8s and 5s, etc. The effect of the carded yarns surface is not as smooth as the combed yarns surface, and the texture is also worse.
