Types of digital printing

Digital printing is divided into digital direct spray printing and digital heat transfer printing. Digital direct spray printing refers to using a digital printer to directly print the patterns you need on various materials. And digital heat transfer printing requires pre-printing the printed pattern on special paper, and then transferring it to various materials through heat transfer printing, such as T-shirts, underwear, sportswear, and other clothing.

The fabric determines the process, there are four main types of digital printing:

1. Thermal sublimation of polyester fabric

This is the most popular process at present, because the investment threshold is low and the printing process is simple. Generally, printing factories will equip it. As a supplement to screen printing, only a printer and heat transfer machine, as well as sublimation ink and heat transfer paper are required. At present, heat transfer printing is developing in the direction of high-speed and wide width, such as Beaver Paper transfer paper, which can achieve a width of 3.2 meters.

2. Active digital printing of pure hemp, viscose, etc.

Compared with polyester heat transfer printing, active digital printing is more cumbersome, and requires pre-treatment, printing, steaming, water-based, qualitative, etc.

3. Nylon acidic digital printing.

4. Direct spray printing with coating.

Such as KORNIT digital direct jet printing machine.
