What fabrics are used for embroidery?

From the type of fabric, embroidery needs to be used in these three fabrics: plant fiber fabric, animal fiber fabric, chemical fiber fabric.
1. Plant fiber fabric
Plant fiber fabric is commonly referred to various pure cotton, linen, and cotton linen interwoven fabrics. Generally, cotton fabric is relatively soft and lightweight, it is suitable for making various small face towels, handkerchiefs, bread towels, small napkins, etc. The thicker and crisp cotton fabrics are suitable for making large tablecloths, bed covers, refrigerator cloths, pillow bags, etc.
2. Animal fiber fabric
Animal fiber fabric includes silk, satin, georgette, cashmere, flannel, pure wool fabric and so on. Silk soft satin is commonly used for high-grade pajamas, wedding gauze curtains and other bedding, with pure silk embroidery.
3. Chemical fiber fabric
Because of its low melting point, chemical fiber fabric is not as resistant to high temperature as cotton and linen wool materials, so it is best not to use cotton thread and silk thread to embroider. Chemical fiber fabric is more suitable for machine embroidery or ribbon embroidery, beading embroidery, sequin embroidery, etc.
