What are the classifications of sateen fabric?
Oct 12, 2023
sateen fabrics can be divided into four types: striped sateen fabric, plaid sateen fabric, sateen jacquard fabric, and sateen large jacquard printed fabric.
Striped sateen fabric (referred to as "satin strip")

The texture is extended horizontally, using the technique of weaving before dyeing, and the fabric is usually in solid color. Pure cotton fabric has a small shrinkage, no pilling, and not easy to fade.
Plaid sateen fabric (referred to as "satin plaid")

The texture is a grid pattern with vertical and horizontal stripes interspersed and extended. Using the technique of weaving before dyeing, and the fabric is usually in solid color. Pure cotton fabric has a small shrinkage, no pilling, and not easy to fade.
Jacquard sateen fabric (referred to as "small jacquard")

The patterns on the sateen jacquard fabric are not ordinary printed or embroidered, but are woven with yarn. When weaving fabric, the warp and weft yarns interweave and float to form a different picture, the fabric has high needle density. The fabric is usually very thin rather than thick, and it is very soft and dense, with a high demand for cotton and finer yarn weaving, usually in the 40s. The larger the number of other pieces, the thinner the fabric they become, and the smaller the number, the thicker the fabric they weave. The thickness depends on the number of pieces of your fabric, usually the number of sateen pieces is 40s. The appearance of sateen jacquard fabric with the technique of weaving before dyeing is unique, and it can be woven with warp and weft threads to create beautiful pictures, such as flowers, birds, fish, insects, birds, and animals. The texture of fabric is soft, delicate and smooth, and it also has good glossiness, good drapability and breathability, and high color fastness.
Large jacquard sateen fabric (referred to as "large jacquard")

Large jacquard sateen fabrics are thick fabrics with double or multiple layers, named for their patterned characteristics and usefulness. Large jacquard is different from small jacquard, the main difference between the two is the technology. For consumers, large jacquard can weave a much richer pattern than small jacquard. The large jacquard fabric has a full feel, a solid texture, and is sturdy and wear-resistant. It has excellent breathability, making it comfortable to sit, not stuffy, not damp. The flower pattern has layers and a three-dimensional sense of height. Therefore, compared with ordinary fabrics, large jacquard fabrics are more comfortable, durable, and have beautiful patterns, and more suitable for home use.
